Reiki is an experience that one truly has to undergo to fully understand its benefits. Under Robyn’s care I was able to calm down and relax, and immerse myself totally in the experience and gained tremendous focus in my otherwise very hectic life.   From the time she was very young, Robyn was drawn to alternative healing and different spiritualities, believing even as a child that they all held a universal truth to them. Frustrated with conventional medicine, Robyn sought out alternative solutions for her own health as well as that of her family.

  At the suggestion of her good friend and soon-to-be teacher, Terryann Nikides, Robyn took her first degree of Reiki in the spring of 2004, which was quickly followed by her second degree.

  In the summer of 2005 Robyn opened her own clinic, Montreal Reiki, for the first time and fell completely in love with the experience of giving Reiki treatments to others. Since then, she has worked in other people's clinics, at spas, and now works from a beautiful clinic in her own home.

  Robyn achieved her Reiki Mastery (third degree) from the Usui Shiki Ryoho Lineage in October of 2007 and immediately dove into teaching Reiki to others.   Robyn's future plans are to help grow a stronger base of Reiki practitioners within Montreal by hosting Reiki sharing sessions, as well as Q&A evenings so as to help those seeking to do Reiki on others can grow in experience and style.

  Montreal Reiki first opened its doors in 2005 when its founder, Robyn Stroll, first began to offer Reiki sessions publicly. We have since grown in our concept, and now have a brand new clinic just steps away from Jolicoeur metro station, in Montreal Quebec.

  We offer Reiki healing sessions, as well as courses, as described variously on this site. 

  Reiki is a form of hands-on energy healing that comes from Japan. The word itself (pronounced ray-key) means Universal Life Force Energy. This energy is that same energy which surrounds us and flows through us all of the time and is recognized in many cultures as Chi, Prana, Mana, and many other names. Reiki can be channeled in a Reiki healing session so as to enhance the health of the recipient, as well as to calm the mind and soothe the spirit.

  If you would be more comfortable with a more scientific explanation, think only this: in quantum physics, as with most hermetic science, everything comes down to a root level of energy and in truth there is no solid matter, but only neutrons, protons and electrons. Even human bodies, emotions and reactions are all energies: cells vibrating at different frequencies. Reiki, as such, treats those particles in vibration - an energy acting upon another energy to alter the frequency at which it vibrates. 

  This form of healing is passed from teacher to student through a series of initiations. In a sense, it is not unlike many Mystery Traditions in this way, in that while you may read about Reiki on the internet or in a book, there is no true substitute for a live teacher or practitioner to aid and guide you.
